Top fund manager sees shift from recession to recovery

One of europe's top fund managers this week hailed the first signs of a recovery in the UK economy.Anthony Bolton, president for investments at Fidelity International, one of the world's largest fund managers, said: 'We are seeing the first signs that things are becoming less bad with the green shoots, I believe, coming through.'He added that there were huge amounts of money 'waiting on the sidelines in the US to be pumped into the stock market, including property equities'.He argued that those who waited for the positive news would 'miss a lot of the movement in the market'.Bolton was addressing an invited audience at King's Place in London's King's Cross for the inaugural Alastair Ross Goobey Memorial Lecture, organised by the Investment Property Forum.
