It can be useful to have a ready source of information on what is happening in your company, hut remember that if someone is the fount of all knowledge, this does not bode well for how they might treat your confidences. While a confidant may not agree with what you're saying, they must at least have the capacity to take it all on board. This is rarer than you think: many people are much better at talking than at listening.
