Panama Canal awards contract to build bridge on the Atlantic side

The contract to build a bridge on the Atlantic side of the Canal was awarded to Vinci Construction Grands Projets. The following internationally renowned companies/consortia also pre-qualified and presented their proposals: 1. Odebrecht - Hyundai Joint Venture (Brazil -Korea) 2. Acciona Infraestructuras -Tradeco (Spain -Mexico). Vinci Construction Grands Projets (France) offered the lowest price and, therefore, was selected as the contractor who will build the bridge.
