The lock has a compartment with a set of outer longitudinal walls (E, E', F, F'), which is aligned parallel to another set of outer longitudinal walls (B, B', C, C'). The walls (E,E',F F') are connected to transverse walls (A, A, D, D'). Holders are fastened to outer sides of the walls (B, B', C, C'). The lock provides a passage route for Hellenic ships of different sizes. The compartment is designed with a preset length such that large individual areas or sections of the ships are locked.
