There are numerous issues facing the US port sector as maritime trade continues to grow, more infrastructure projects are begun and larger vessels are built. The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) has been active in promoting the common interests of ports since 1912. Today, the Association is more active than ever and takes a leadership role in trade, transportation, the environment and other issues affecting the port sector.
