This '67 Camaro was a birthday gift for 14-year-old Randy Bell. Now 28 years later, Randy still has the Camaro-though, it's nothing like it was three decades ago. Randy tried out a number of engines over the years, replacing the factory 327 with a truck-born 350, then a 454 big-block, a '99 LS1, and finally the current '04 GTO LS1. The Camaro grew up a drag racing street car with a lowest e.t. of 11.40, thanks to the big-block. Randy has been transforming the Camaro into something to make it a little more supportive of turning and stopping. He's swapped the stock stuff for tubular adjustable control arms, QA1 shocks, and a Speedway custom sway bar. He's got the brakes and steering all squared away using a DSE steering box and C6 Z06 brake calipers on Coleman rotors. The car does great, but he wishes it had more than the 400 rear-wheel horsepower it has now. With a big family at home, he's just thankful he has the car set up as well as he does.
