Sound Off!

I read with interest your "Bangin Gears" column of Nov. '13, and identify fully with your comments ["To My Fellow Thousandaires"]. You see, until about five years ago, I was one of the haters, the one who griped about checkbook cars. Five years ago, I was forced to reinvent myself as part of a life/work change and now have little, if any, time to work on my projects. I count myself fortunate enough to have friends who own shops who can perform most of the work I need to have done between their regular customers. Yes, I write checks for my engine, trunk/gas tank repair, and mediablasting, however, if you ask me I will gladly and loudly tell you who does the work, how much I appreciate their efforts, and how much it means to me to be able to keep my projects moving forward.
