India re-examines the gas-to-power option

Indian gas-fired power projects have come back into vogue after a period when the limited availability and spiraling price of gas had dampened interest in using the fuel for power generation. Lanco Kondapalli Power is tendering a contract to build a 770 MW expansion project at its Kondapalli gas-fired combined-cycle plant in Andhra Pradesh state.
