Georgia's Five Big Power Projects

Georgia's rehabilitation is overwhelmingly due to the restoration works at Enguri, but its prospects of becoming a major exporter to markets from Syria and Iraq to Turkey and the Balkans rests on the implementation of five major projects. These are:rn1. The Namakhvani Cascade. A consortium of the Korean Power Company, Turkey's Nurol Holding and the South Korean engineering company, SK, is currently finalizing a feasibility study for this 450 MW project. This will be followed by detailed design and construction.
