Renewables threaten to overwhelm Czech grid

The Czech Republic's two biggest regional distribution companies, CEZ Distribution and E.ON Distribution, have announced they will not authorize new grid connections for wind and solar power projects. The decision follows a call from national grid operator CEPS earlier in February for distributors to take that step.
