Royal sets French transition targets

France’s energy minister Segolene Royal presented the main points of an energy transition law June 18, to be put to the National Assembly in July. The announcement was preceded by a parliamentary report calling for diversity in supply and increased energy efficiency, and proceeded by cost warnings from the country's power generators.
