Spanish integrated oil and gas group Repsol and Russia's Alliance Oil announced December 20 that they had formalized their $840 million Russian exploration and production joint venture.rnUnder the deal, first announced in June 2011, the two companies will work together to further develop producing Alliance assets with the joint venture to "serve as a vehicle to facilitate reserve growth through acquisition opportunities in oil and gas exploration and production in Russia".
