Eleven research and education networks form APOnet collaboration

摘要

Eleven research and education (R&E) networks in North America, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania have formed the Asia Pacific Oceania network (APOnet) collaboration. The collaboration will see the organizations link their networks to create a trans-oceanic network services delivery system that provides more resiliency, flexibility, and consistency than the individual networks could enable on their own. The networks and organizations involved are: 1. Australia's Academic and Research Network (AARNet) 2. Arterial Research and Educational Network in Asia-Pacific (ARENA-PAC) 3. University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development, also known as Internet2 4. Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) 5. National Institute of Information and Communications Technology(NICT) 6. National Institute of Informatics (NII) 7. Pacific Wave International Exchange 8. Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand (REANNZ) 9. Singapore Advanced Research and Education Network (SingAREN) 10. TransPAC 11. University of Hawaii (UH).
