Refiner, marketer Delek senses buyer's market, seeks acquisitions

With a weakened economy and the resulting pressure on U.S. refining margins, Delek is keeping a watchful eye on possible acquisitions to further grow and diversify its company. The right time to buy is while prices are coming down and the economy is in bad shape, Delek CEO Uzi Yemen said at Lehman Brothers conference in New York City. "We still want to be a diversified energy company downstream, and we still want to look at acquisitions. I think the current environment for that is good," Yemen said. "We didn't make our money in 2008 or 2007. We made our money in 2003 and 2004 when we made acquisitions."
