Bankrupt marketer said to seek talks with refiner

Attorneys representing bankrupt Midwest chain Bulk Petroleum have asked a federal judge to allow them to withdraw as the company's legal team. They say that the Mequon, Wis., firm has not paid them and does not respond to their phone calls, e-mails or formal letters.rnLawyers David H. Herrold and Mark A. Waller are representing Bulk in a case filed in Tulsa, Okla., by Citgo. The refiner is trying to recover more than $4.71 million that it says Bulk owes it for product pulled in September and October last year, as exclusively reported (OE 12/08/2008).rnBulk is owned by Indian entrepreneur Darshan S. Dhaliwal. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year, citing debts in excess of $9.59 million (OE 02/23/09).
