One-third of Murphy’s stores affected by hurricanes

About 500 of Murphy USA’s stores – or about a third of the retailer’s network – were “negatively impacted in some capacity” by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, according to an analysis from Wells Fargo Securities LLC. The majority of those stores are located in Texas and Florida, the states where Murphy has the largest retail presence. Murphy’s stores in those states represent about 30% of its chain, Wells said.
