From the States: Trade group warns against making pot legal

Three bills to legalize, regulate and monetize therecreational use of marijuana are moving through thecommittee process in Connecticut and will ultimately comebefore the General Assembly for consideration, according tothe Connecticut Energy Marketers Association (CEMA).States have been pushing for legalization of recreationaluse of marijuana and/or cannabis-related products, hopingto capitalize on potential revenues and taxes. States thatare slow to legalize recreational use of cannabis-relatedproducts may lose that revenue to neighboring states thatare early adopters.
