Award winners share best practice

The RoSPA Awards Excellence Forums, which were held over the last few months, mark another year of awards ceremonies, celebrating past and present entrants and sharing best practice for the year to come. Each entrant into the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards can access the Awards Excellence Forum - a network of like minded award entrants offering support and sharing advice that can help with not only with award entry but also health and safety management in general. The latest forums took place in Glasgow in September and in Birmingham and London in October, and included talks from RoSPA award winners about the awards process as well the health and safety challenges and successes they have had in their organistions. Delegates at all three forums were greeted by Dr Karen McDonnell, RoSPA OS&H policy adviser and head of RoSPA Scotland, who provided an overview of the forum's aims and announced a new LinkedIn group exclusive to RoSPA award entrants (which gained strong interest and a rise in membership by over 100 soon after). The group is a platform for health, safety and fleet professionals from across the world to meet, to share, discuss, demonstrate, and discover best practice. It was created to enable RoSPA award winners to discuss the latest OSH topics, share success stories and best practice, ask questions of peers, and support each other. Karen ended her presentation reminding delegates that "connection is everything".
