摘要

Despite the evidence that increased waist circumferencen(WC) is correlated with adverse healthnoutcomes and measuring WC helps assess risk, nthere is currently a lack of good evidence indicating thatnroutine measurement of WC in the clinical setting makesna difference to future health events in patients’ lives.nIt might be presumed that since WC is a risk factor fornadverse health outcomes, then measuring WC would setninto place a sequence of events that would lead to changesnin lifestyle and a subsequent decrease in WC.
