Marvin S. Fertel, ANS member since 1996, has been elect-ed president and chief executive offi-cer of the Nuclear Energy Institute. Fer-tel, formerly execu-tive vice president and chief nuclear of-ficer at NEI, also served as acting president and chief executive officer since Frank L. "Skip" Bowman retired from those positions in November 2008. On staff at NEI and its predecessor organizations for 19 years, Fertel has held numerous other executive positions, including senior vice president and chief nuclear officer and vice president of nuclear economics and fuel supply.
