Stephen Kuczynski, ANS member since 2007, has been named chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Southern Nuclear Operating Company. He succeeds James Miller, who will retire later this year after 17 years with Southern Company. Kuczynski previously served as senior vice president of engineering and technical services at Exelon Nuclear. Robert McCrory has been named vice president of the University of Rochester. McCrory, who joined the university in 1976, retains his positions as professor of mechanical engineering and physics and as vice provost, chief executive officer, and director of the university's Laboratory for Laser Energetics.
