Kurion Inc. has appointed Jonathan Foster as chief financial officer and David Carlson as senior vice president of tritium removal operations. Foster has served as CFO for a number of venture capital-backed companies and has worked for both private and publicly traded organizations. Carlson was most recently chief operating officer and chief nuclear officer at Gen4 Energy. The newly formed Virginia Nuclear Energy Consortium has announced its leadership team. Marshall Cohen, a principal at Public Affairs Strategies LLC and formerly vice president of government relations and communications at the Babcock & Wilcox Company, has been named executive director, and Ali Haghighat, a professor of nuclear engineering at Virginia Tech University and ANS member since 1987, has been appointed chairman of the board. The founding members of the consortium are Areva Inc., BWX Technologies, Dominion Resources Services, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Newport News Shipbuilding, the University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Virginia Tech University.
