Microwave properties of one-dimensional chiral and chiroferrite media which contain multifilar conducting helices with a common axis and dimensions much less than a wavelength are studied. Different types of resonance phenomena, including chiral, chiral ferromagnetic, and ferromagnetic resonances, are investigated. The influence of magnetostatic field on the frequency dependences of transmission and reflection coefficients are investigated for different types of resonance phenomena. The mutual transformation of polarization of the electromagnetic wave is studied. The real and imaginary parts of effective permeability and permittivity are measured.
