For Fredrik OEhman, who was born and raised in Pitea, in northern Sweden, choosing pulp and paper as his field of study was an obvious choice. "During the summer I worked at SCA Munksund in Pitea and found it interesting to follow the manufacturing process in reality." Following his military service, he studied Chemical Engineering at Chalmers in Gothenburg, with a special focus on pulp and paper. "While the pulp and paper program at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm is better known, Chalmers today graduates just as many people as KTH does," says OEhman.
