Proteomic Scientists

The National Institute for Biological Standards and Control is a multi-disciplinary scientific establishment whose purpose is to safeguard and enhance public health by standardizing and controlling biological substances used in medicine.rnWe have an exciting opportunity to recruit two scientists to join the proteomic team in our Laboratory for Molecular Structure (LMS) which is a small group involved in the characterisation of biological products in current or potential clinical use and related research. The proteomic facility is equipped with state-of-the-art, large format gel equipment and image analysis software, robotic gel casting system, spot picker and digester, colour and fluorescent scanners, MALDI-TOF and LCQ mass spectrometers. The well established 2D-DIGE is routinely used for quantitative and comparative proteomic research projects.
