The series "A History in Ship Models" has a new addition. This one is Wooden Warship Construction: A History in Ship Models, by Brian Lavery. It is the fourth book in this series, and the second by Brian Lavery. This book examines materials and methods of constructing wooden warships in the eighteenth and early nineteenth century. The focus is almost exclusively on construction in Great Britain for the Royal Navy. As with previous works in this series, Wooden Warship Construction draws upon the collections of Britain's National Maritime Museum. While photographs of models predominate, Lavery also uses paintings, drawings, and plans from these collections in this book.
