Global GDP growth was estimated at 3.0% in 2016 and is forecast to accelerate to 3.3% this year and then to 3.6% in 2018, according to this month's Interim Economic Outlook from the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development). Although the projections for world growth are unchanged from the organisation's November outlook, confidence in the global economy's prospects is noted to have improved.
