Refurbished '222s' feature leather seats

The use of low carbon' leather is a highlight of the new interior look which has been created in the First Class section of East Midlands Trains' Meridian fleet. Set No 222008, the first of 27 sets to be refurbished in the £6million project, entered service on 28 February. Alongside new carpeting throughout and new fabric seat coverings in Standard Class, the First Class section features the new leather seats in EMT's bespoke 'ink' (dark blue) colour.
