It is not often in your career you get a unique opportunity to create a completely new way of working. Northamptonshire's children's social care is about to be reinvented - and it is starting with a blank page. After the well documented financial challeneges in Northamptonshire, including Government intervention of its children's services, the county council has stabilised the situation and provided a strong platform for the county to re-emerge into two new unitary authorities and Northamptonshire Children's Trust - a company that will provide the social care services across both new authorities. A company wholly-owned by both authorities, it is now looking for its first permanent chief executive and director of finance and resources to reshape the future of children's social care across Northamptonshire.
