Yes it appears strange that in this time of austerity and significant cuts, that I am writing about hir-ing new staff. However it is at our peril we forget that at some point we will come out the other side of this complex period.The news has reams of items on the 1,000,000 young people aged be-tween 16-24 out of work. But how are they ever going to get meaningful work if we in the public sector do not sup-port this group in society? There is much written about how the youth of today do not know about work ethics, yet how can they if not been given the chance to show this - we may be breed-ing a group of people who will never set the chance to work.
