Community unions unite for battle in pay dispute

Trade unions representing Britain's youth and community workers are on collision course with employers, after lodging a formal pay dispute that councils refused to take to arbitration.Unions representing the staff side of the National Joint Council for the sector - including Unison, Unite and the National Union of Teachers - informed the Local Government Employers of their formal dispute in a letter dated 6 October.
