Clare Marchant, currently assistant chief executive and former group programme director with NHS, has been formally confirmed as Worcestershire CC's new chief executive (People, The MJ, 13Feb). Elected members' endorsed her appointment at last week's meeting of the full council. Leader Adrian Hardman said: 'She will bring a wealth of knowledge from her previous experience in the commercial sector, her national role in the NHS prior to joining us, and the four years she has spent at the council.
