Ashford BC corporate director Tracey Kerly has been promoted to chief executive for a period of two years, replacing John Bunnett, who announced in November he was standing down as chief executive after six years. Ms Kerly said: 'Having worked for Ashford for more than 25 years I know what an excellent group of hard-working officers we have serving our wonderful local community. 'I am particularly looking forward to working with members to lead the authority through some exciting and challenging times.' Council leader, Cllr Gerry Clarkson, added: 'The council is currently in a strong position with the recently agreed corporate plan providing direction and focus.
