Saint Paul Police Officer Is Named Minnesota Police Officer Of The Year

Adam Bailey, a patrol officer with the St. Paul Police Department has been named the 2010 Police Officer of the Year by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association. Bailey, a five year veteran of the department was involved in two highly critical situations where suspects threatened police with a gun and one where Bailey was shot and wounded. Both suspects were killed. "Never before have we had so many people nominate one officer for this distinctions" said Dennis Flaherty, executive director of the Association.
