On Wednesday April 13 The Saint Paul Police Department named its officer, detective, and civilian employee of the year. The Police Officer and Detective of the Year symbolize the highest level of achievement among employees of the Saint Paul Police Department. Police officers and sergeants who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in carrying out their duties are considered for this honor. All areas of law enforcement such as extraordinary valor, crime prevention, community policing, problem solving projects, exceptional investigative work, etc., were eligible for nomination. The Civilian Employee of the Year symbolizes the highest level of achievement among the civilian employees of the Saint Paul Police Department. Civilian employees who have demonstrated exceptional quality in customer service and the performance of their duties were considered for this honor.
