National Metro and Mini Show

On 6 June the UK Mini scene got back on track as we enjoyed the recently rare treat of meeting up with friends. It was great to see Minis gathered together at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon, Warwickshire. For many it had been well over a year since they had the chance to meet up at a show. With limited numbers in attendance, for COVID safety, there was a relaxed vibe to the day. However, there were moments of action when visitors headed for the museum as a few downpours interrupted the otherwise sunny day. Inside, they could pay homage to a number of special Minis in the museum's collection. There were many fantastic Minis on display, fanned around the outside of the museum and we spoke to a number of people who had been working on their Minis during the UK lockdowns and chose the event as the first outing since getting them back on the road. During the day the arena played host to a number of car clubs for both Minis and Metros and there was music from every era to tap your feet to. There were also trade and autojumble stands with bargains up for grabs. If you missed out on this event then your Mini will be welcome at the museum's BMC and Leyland Show on 11 July this year.
