The population is 80.7% Greek Cypriot community, 11% Turkish Cypriot, 8.3% other. Religions: 78% Greek Orthodox, 18% Muslim, 4% Maronite, Armenian, Apostolic and other. Languages: Greek and Turkish. The Government of the Republic of Cyprus is the only internationally-recognised government of the island.
