Groot Ship Design to deliver livestock carrier designs for Korea and Malaysia

On 15 May a unique contract was signed between Groot Ship Design, the Netherlands, Sundong shipyard, Korea, and owner PBHH/BH livestock Vessel SDN BHD, Malaysia, for the design and delivery of two types of livestock carriers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Korean yard will build five vessels of each type for PBHH/BH Livestock. Sungdong requested Groot Ship Design to deliver the design for each type because of the knowledge and experience in livestock carriers and the innovative bow design of the Groot Cross-Bow'1. Groot Ship Design made two concept designs for the Korean shipyard: a design for the transport of 7,000 cows (Livestock carrier 7,000) and a design for the transport of 11,000 cows (Livestock carrier 11,000).
