New PCTC for Grimaldi

The Grimadi Group, Naples, Italy, recently took delivery of the Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) Grande Colo-nia from Uljanik Shipyards, Pula, Croatia. The ship is one of more than 30 that Grimaldi has ordered from shipyards in Croatia, Italy and Korea as part of a EURO 2 billion plus fleet expansion. That expansion will include a series of four 8,500-ton cruise ferries, the Mediterranean's largest, ordered from Italy's Fincantieri. The first in the series, the 225m Cruise Roma, is due for delivery in 2008.
