MTU Debuts new 8-cylinder in 4000 engine series at the Workboat show

MTU Friedrischshafen has introduced the 8-cylinder version of its innovative series 4000 engine for the workboat market. The long stroke engine is offered in all configurations-8v, 12V and 16v-for the 746 to 2,240 kw power range. The new engine meets all current emission requirements such as EPATier 2, CCNR 2 2/2 and EU Stage IIIA, and is designed for compliance with emissions regu lations expected in the future.
