Germany-based bernhard schulte has awarded Norway's Ulstein Verft with a contract to build two service operation vessels (SOVs) based on the Ulstein SX_(175) design. The vessels will be the first to incorporate the new X-Stern hull form. Ulstein says the final detailed arrangements and equipment for the vessels have been developed and specified in cooperation with WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG, Bernhard Schulte's affiliate for offshore wind projects.
