The nutritional drivers to offer sugarfree and reduced calorie confectionery products to consumers are very strong and growing stronger. Our ability to respond to these challenges and develop innovative products of high quality that meet customer expectations is, to large degree, dependent on the availability of the necessary specialty ingredients. Now, with polyols, novel sugars and bulking agents in the product developer's ingredient portfolio, the variety and quality of product offerings is increasing and it is no surprise that the markets for such products are also increasing steadily.
