The Fine Chocolate Industry Association (FCIA) is featuring more than 80 of its company members on its online marketplace called Make Mine Fine. The site also includes information on cocoa growing origins and its sister organization the Heirloom Cacao Preservation (HCP) Fund. This month, FCIA member Seattle Chocolate is highlighted on the site. Here is their story. When COVID-19 shuttered businesses in March, Seattle Chocolate Company CEO Jean Thompson didn't expect the pandemic to last through the summer. But she applied an infinite mindset to an immediate problem, pivoted to meet the new environment, and made significant decisions that ultimately positioned her two brands, Seattle Chocolate and jcoco Chocolate, toward a broader customer base and more expansive growth market.
