Last issue it was Italian steam that was showcased, in this issue we turn to a more modern form of traction, Italian electrics. New contributor Peter Harris has kindly sent us in these contributions, along with others which we hope to publish in future issues. Above, we see 645 045 at Viareggio in June 1982. These 1950s designed locomotives continued to work regularly for FS until 2009.
