Mohamed Abou El Seoud has been appointed Middle Eastern/African Studies Librarian at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He previously was Lead Library Assistant for Technical Services at the Library of Santa Monica College, CA. Atlantic County Library System (ACLS), Galloway, NJ, has appointed Karen George as Director; she had been Assistant Director since her return to ACLS in 2003 and earlier served as Director, Assistant Director, and Head of Technical Services during the 1980s. She replaces the retiring William Paul-lin. Edwina Wilinski becomes Assistant Director; she has held many positions during her 34 years at ACLS. Gair Helfrich is now Chief Librarian for Library Services; she has been with ACLS for 20 years.
