New Awesome Fdn. Library Chapter

The Innovation in Libraries chapter of the Awesome Foundation is currently accepting grant ap-plications, with a May 15 deadline. A grant will be award-ed to six projects that will then oper-ate on a six-month pilot project for-mat, with submissions accepted on the 15th of each month through August. Formed in 2009, the Awesome Foun-dation "is a global community advanc- ing the interest of awesome in the uni-verse, $1,000 at a time." Autonomous chapters operate on a local level by raising funds from community trustees that are then dispersed as microloans to projects in the arts, technology, com- munity development, or other sectors, deemed "awesome" according to that chapter's own guidelines.
