In leather manufacturing, it mainly concerns cleaner production as a practical way to protect the health of humans and the environment. Achieving this goal includes measures such as pollution prevention, source reduction, waste minimisation and eco-efficiency, which involve, for example, substituting toxic and hazardous materials, process modifications and reusing waste products.
