Artist Angela Wright created a dramatic installation for Southwark Cathedral, on the south bank of the River Thames in Central London, which was on display during Lent (5 March to 19 April). The huge 'waterfall' of 152 kg of spun white wool cascaded from the top of the Great Screen of the High Altar to spread out on the floor of the Sanctuary below. Viewers were encouraged to reflect on and make connections between the strands of wool and the Easter story. Previous installations in wool by this artist have been exhibited in South Korea, China and Australia for the Campaign for Wool.
