Protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) catalyze the phosphorylation of tyrosine residues in proteins and synthetic peptides.PTKs are commonly segregated into subgroups on the basis of sequence homology,such as the Src subfamily,which is comprised of Blk,Fgr,Fyn,Hck,Lck,Lyn,Yes,Yrk,and Src.
