In 2019, the Caribou Utilities District partnered with Revision Energy of Liberty ME to construct a 1MW solar array on the River Road. The electrical generating capacity will provide 85% of the electrical energy requirements for the District across both water and wastewater divisions. Please note the Caribou Pump Station and treatment building are located adjacent to the solar field in the upper right-hand side of the photo below the Aroostook River.
